Research Career

  • 前駆脂肪細胞は、インスリンなどの作用により分化が誘導され、脂肪細胞となる。また、形成された脂肪細胞は、さらなる中性脂肪の蓄積を経て、肥大化する。これらの細胞応答における低分子量GTP結合蛋白質Rac1の役割およびその制御機構と作用機序の解明を目指して、研究を進めている。

  • インスリンは、骨格筋や脂肪組織に作用して血中の糖の取り込みを促進する。この際の細胞内でのシグナル伝達機構の解析を進めている。とくに、低分子量GTP結合蛋白質Rac1を介するシグナル伝達系の制御機構と作用機序の解明を目指して、研究を進めている。
