    The opioid crisis remains a significant public health challenge, with millions of individuals affected globally and a staggering number of fatalities resulting from opioid overdoses each year. The widespread use of opioids for pain management, combined with their high potential for misuse and dependence, has contributed to a growing epidemic with far-reaching consequences. Existing treatments, such as naloxone, have proven effective in reversing opioid-induced respiratory depression but are often limited by short durations of action, potential withdrawal effects, and reduced efficacy in certain circumstances. There is thus a need in the art for compounds and methods suitable for treating, preventing, and/or ameliorating opioid overdoses while reducing side effects and improving clinical outcomes. The present disclosure addresses this need.
