原子や分子などのミクロな世界は、私達が暮らしている通常の世界とは異なる法則に支配されています。このミクロな世界の法則を量子力学と呼びます。量子力学を習得することは、エレクトロニクス産業の技術者にとって必須になっています。講義「量子力学I・II」では、量子力学について、その誕生の歴史を交えながら、詳しく解説します。 最近、計算物理学という新しい分野が登場してきました。また、プログラミング手法を習得することは、情報関連の資格を取得する際に有利となります。講義科目「計算物理学基礎」では、本学の学術情報総合センターに設置されている計算機実習室において、C言語を用いたプログラミング実習を行います。 物質の中で電子たちはお互いに力を及ぼしあっています。この力が磁性や超伝導などの起源であると考えられています。大学院科目「量子力学特論」では、電子たちの量子力学(多体系の量子力学)について解説します。
