  • 本研究室では、建築・土木構造物の長寿命化を目指して、その長期経年劣化予測と維持保全方法の研究を進めています。特に、「時間依存性構造学(Time-Dependent Structural Engineering)」という鉄筋コンクリート構造学における新しい分野にも取り組んでいます。 研究領域は、鉄筋コンクリート構造物や木質構造の構造性能に関わる内容から、コンクリートの耐久性のほか、タイルあるいはセメントモルタルなどの仕上材などの材料性能に関する幅広い分野に至っています。

    <p>In this research, the relationship between rusting and non-rusting of lath was evaluated through 30 years of outside exposure in YOKOHAMA using light mortar and general mortar developed and sold in 1986.<br>The results confirm that there are many cases of full-cross-section neutralization in the exposed test bodies after 20 or 30 years. However, as for rust in the lath, rust is barely visible near the center of the section, even where neutralization is taking place.</p>

    <p> Japan is located in the warm and wet climate zone. Therefore, from the standpoint of visual assessment of landscape design, it is important to take care of the color changes of building and civil engineering materials in the rain. It is well known that hygroscopic solids, such as concrete, show wet colors; Their lightness values become lower and their chroma values become higher when they get wet. A lot of results of wet color measurements were reported in the past. However, these previous reports measured only two states, dry and wet. There are no detailed reports of color changes during wetting or drying process.</p><p> Suppose that there is a material that shows wet color. It is expected that its color change during wetting or drying process will depend on the degree of its wettability. This means that, two materials showing the same wet colors in the rain may show different colors after the rain stopped, i.e., during drying. This information will be necessary and useful in the landscape design under changing weathers.</p><p> In this paper, we measured the color change during drying of beige-, red- and brown-colored garden bricks. In the experiment, we soaked the bricks in distilled water for 30 minutes to wet them completely. Then, after taking them out from water, we measured their color changes during drying within 1 minute, at five-minute interval to 60 minutes, at ten-minute interval to 90 minutes, and at 120 minutes. In the experiment, we let bricks dry naturally at room temperature 23±1 ℃ and relative humidity 50±5 %.</p><p> The results are as follows: The drastic color change arose at 5 minutes for red brick, and between 15 and 20 minutes for beige brick. For brown one, the gradual color changes occurred until 40 minutes. These color change differences during drying can be possibly explained by their differences of water content ratio.</p>

    <p>In this research, in order to show the basic properties of Light Weight Cement Mortar used for Blending Lath Mortar including early material age, and with the implementation of related mechanical properties evaluation test, a simple test method was proposed and attempted to evaluate the occurrence characteristics of dry shrinkage cracks of early material age. The results show that the fundamental characteristics can be demonstrated by the compressive strength, crack tensile strength and flexural strength of the test specimen centering on the early material age.</p>

    In this paper, a simple method of predicting the critical deformation of composite materials with interfacial cracks was carried out under mode of II conditions using singularity strength K<sub>i</sub>, and the fracture criteria of the interface between concrete and cementitious mortar bonded with ceramic tile finishing are evaluated. singularity strength K<sub>i</sub> are considered by two types of stress intensity factors K<sub>1</sub> and K<sub>2</sub> on the basis of the interfacial fracture mechanics. The stress distribution and singularity at the interface between dissimilar materials are obtained by two-dimensional elastostatic boundary element analyses under a plane strain state. singularity strength K<sub>i</sub> determine the mixed mode fracture criteria of the interfaces. Prediction of the first delamination and its development by these factors are compared with the empirical results of compressive tests on composite model specimens containing several types of tile finishing. It was confirmed that critical deformation could generally be predicted by the simple method.

    This paper describes analytical results by a boundary element method on stress singular conditions at the interface between the concrete bodies and cemeticious adhesive mortar with ceramic tiles. The interfacial stresses during differential movements between concrete and ceramic tiles were examined in case that both defects and no ones were held in the interfaces. A general stress function is also presented by two singularity parameters to predict normal and shear stresses near the stress singular points by a fracture mechanical method. By the results, the predicted method for critical conditions of the defects in the interface was presented. Furthermore, the mixed-modes of the interfacial fracture were clarified.

    This paper describes analytical results by a boundary element method on interfacial stress singular conditions near the tip of shrinkage crack terminating at the interface between the concrete bodies and cemeticious adhesive mortar. A general stress function near the stress singular points is theoretically presented by a linear combination of the singular solutions of type r<sup>-&lambda;</sup>, the no singularity solutions and the particular solutions which are independent of distance r from the crack tip by a fracture mechanical method. A new method is presented to obtain the values of several kinds of singularity parameters. Furthermore, the usefulness of these methods and the characteristics of the three parameters under different influences of several kinds of finishing conditions are discussed.

    In recent years, cement mortar composed with lightweight aggregates has been frequently adopted as one of finishing materials in plastering works due to the high operating efficiency. This paper concerns about the drying shrinkage strain and the mass reduction ratio of the mortar with four kinds of mortar flow, sometimes lead to the exfoliation, under the standardized atmosphere during 28 days. As a result, the following items are clarified; 1) Drying shrinkage strain of upside is larger than that of downside in all kinds of mortars. Therefore the renderings draw outward curve. 2) Although the strains after 28 days in air was about 1500 micro which different was very little from the kinds of mortars, this value was some times as large as the mortar with normal fine aggregates. 3) The more the mortar flows, the smaller the mass reduction ratio is produced. 4) The movement characteristics of the mortar are considerably different from those of the mortar with fine aggregate.

    In this paper, a new method to predict the critical deformation of composite materials with interface cracks under mixed mode conditions by stress intensity factors K_1 and K_2 is presented, and also fracture criterions of the interfaces between concrete and cementitious wet-finishings are evaluated. Two kinds of stress intensity factors are based on interfacial fracture mechanics. Stress distribution and singularity on the interface between dissimilar materials are obtained by two-dimensional boundary element elastostatic analyses under a plane strain state. Two kinds of stress intensity factors determine the mixed mode fracture criterions of the interfaces. Predictions about delamination initiation and extension by these factors are compared with the results of observations made by compressive tests on composite model specimens that consist of several kinds of finishings. It was clarified that critical deformation could generally be predicted by the presented method.
