  • エレクトロクロミズムは、電気的な刺激によって可逆的に色変化を生じる現象です。応用例として、調光ガラス、防眩ミラー、電子ペーパーなどが知られています。色を保持するメモリー性を利用すると、電力消費は色変化時のみとなります。長寿命化、応答速度の向上などを課題としています。
    微生物の電気的応答に関する研究については,非線形応答を利用して酵母菌の生死が非侵襲的・非破壊的・短時間で判別できることがわかっていますが,次のステップとして,活発なのか不調なのかといった活動状態の判別が課題となります。異なるストレスに対して異なる応答が見られれば,酵母が感じているストレスの種類や程度が推定できるようになるはずです。
