  • 　近代社会で統計がつくられ，利用される過程を研究し，社会の実情を表す数字として統計を考えます。企業規模や個人所得の分布，リスク管理のための統計的思考なども研究しています。社会は歴史の積み重ねで変化しています。それを客観的に評価する方法として歴史的数値資料を利用するための方法も研究しています。
