    自動車製造事業法以降の普通自動車の国産化において、トヨタは、自動車製造事業法の許可会社となることによって、戦前の普通自動車国産化の担い手として登場できたのであるが、その結果不可能となった電装品の海外調達ができなくなった。そうした中、日立製作所製電装品の購入によって、製造責任を果たしながら、電装品生産を軌道に乗せる準備期間を獲得できた。他方、日産は、日産コンツェルン再編を通して国産工業を日立製作所に合併させ、電装品の安定調達を実現した。

    企業から排出された電気機械をリサイクル処理する静脈企業ネットワークであるJ・RICの形成過程とその意義について報告した。主幹事会社であり形成を主導したリーテム及び、北海道地区の幹事会社であるマテック、関西地区の幹事会社である中辻産業のそれぞれのJ・RICとのかかわりについてヒアリングをベースに報告し、J・RICが国内での高水準のリサイクル能力を有する静脈企業ネットワークの構築であると同時に、そうした企業を育成する機能も果たしたことを報告した。

    第二次世界大戦前の日本の自動車国産化の中でも、四輪車の国産化段階に特に着目して、いかに日立製作所が電装品供給体制を構築したのかを報告した。それまでの自動三輪車用電装品供給の経験を前提に、日産自動車との関係においては、日産コンツェルン再編の中で継続的な取引関係を構築したこと、トヨタ自動車との関係では、第二次世界大戦が近づく中で電装品の輸入が難しくなる中、日立が国内調達先として選ばれたことを報告した。

    戦前・戦時期は、日本自動車産業にとっては自動車の国産化を実現した時期であった。しかしながら、日本の自動車メーカーはその出自を機械関連事業に持っていたことから、電気技術の蓄積が必要とされた電装品に関して国産化することができなかった。そうした中で電装品の国産化を果たしたのは日本の電機産業であった。本報告では、日立製作所を事例に、戦前・戦時期の三輪自動車および四輪自動車用電装品がいかに国内生産を実現されたのかを明らかにした。
