Profile
Thi hong Tran: received a bachelor's degree in physics and a master's degree in microelectronics from Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNU-HCM) University of Science, Vietnam, in 2008 and 2012, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in information science from the Kyushu Institute of Technology, Japan, in 2014. From 2015/1 to 2021/9, she has been with the Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, as a Full Time Assistant Professor. Since 2021/10, she has been with Osaka city University, Japan as a full time lecturer, and with NAIST as a visiting associate professor. Her research interests include digital hardware circuit design, algorithms related to wireless communication, communication security, blockchain technology, SHA-2, SHA-3, cryptography, etc. She is a Regular Member of IEEE, IEICE, REV-JEC, and others.

Research subject summary

  • This study focuses on two main research themes. The first is the development of a decentralized blockchain application for Society 5.0. For example, the development of smart healthcare systems, industrial blockchain ecosystems for self-driving cars, and anti-counterfeit drug management systems. Second, we will develop hardware circuits for blockchain accelerators with high processing speed and ultra-low power consumption to secure blockchain networks.
