    最近、温暖化の影響かもしれませんが、気象の変動も激しくなったようで、それに伴って、水害や干ばつなども激しくなっている感じです(断定はできないとはいえ)。そのとき、農業や緑地などの植物は大きな影響を受けています。ここでは、そのベースとなる考え方、水と土という生育環境、そして植物生育との関係についてみてみます。

     SIMERUSとは、やや怪しげ?な英語の略語ですが、Soil Integrated Moisture Environment for Rural and Urban Sustainability の略です。  つまり、都会でもその他でも植生にとっての、全く新しい、持続可能な土と水の環境といった意味です(まあ、言わずと知れて、”湿らす!”)。  土壌物理学というとえらく難しそうで実際解明されていることが少ない!学問分野だとはいえるのでしょうが、それにしても、今世紀、水資源の枯渇、砂漠化の抑止、都市等の皆さ
