    <p><b>BACKGROUND：</b>The mental health of junior high school teachers has been steadily deteriorating. One of the contributing factors is their responsibility for supervising extracurricular sports activities, highlighting the need for social support（SS）from external sports coaches. <b>PURPOSE：</b>This study focused on junior high school teachers who supervise extracurricular sports clubs and receive SS from sports coaches. The aim was to develop and examine the reliability and validity “Competitive SS Scale” and “Educational SS Scale” by sports coaches. <b>METHODS：</b>In October 2024, a web-based survey was conducted with 172 junior high school sports club advisors. First, using factor analysis to assess factorial validity. Convergent and discriminant validity were evaluated by calculating correlations between the new scales and the “Short Version of the Workplace Social Support Scale.” Concurrent validity was assessed by examining correlations with the “S-WHO-5-J” and “Ikigai-9” scales. To verify reliability, Cronbach’s alpha coefficients and I-T correlations were calculated. <b>RESULTS：</b>In terms of factor validity, both the Competitive SS Scale and The Educational SS Scale were composed of instrumental, emotional, and informational support. Convergent validity and Discriminant validity confirmed significant correlations between all subscales of the new scales and validated scale. Concomitant validity showed weak or moderate for all subscale scores of the new scales and the “S-WHO-5-J” （r = 0.198-0.363） and the “Ikigai-9”（r =0.269-0.415）. Reliability tests showed good values for both Cronbach’s alpha coefficient（<i>α</i> = 0.751-0.891）and I-T correlation（r = 0.567-0.816）. <b>CONCLUSION：</b>Some concerns remain regarding the discriminant validity of certain subscales-particularly “instrumental support” and “emotional support”-the scale can nonetheless be considered a practical and applicable assessment tool for use in educational settings.</p>

    <p>【背景・目的】我々は、これまで一般大学生の体力と体組成に関する基礎データを収集し、健康の維持・増進、そして効果的な運動指導や栄養教育プログラムの開発に資する知見の蓄積を目指してきた。近年では、若年層における不適切なダイエットや生活習慣の乱れに起因する低栄養、あるいは「隠れ肥満」といった問題が指摘されている。本研究ではBIA法を活用し、一般大学生の体組成の様相を詳細に明らかにすることを目的とした。【方法】対象は大阪府のO大学に通う1年生（男子1,443名、女子722名）であった。測定項目は年齢、身長、体重、除脂肪量および脂肪量（全身、上肢、体幹、下肢の除脂肪体重、脂肪体重）であった。測定にはInBody470を用いた。測定されたデータは、ｔ検定によって男女比較を実施し、相関係数の差の検定によって、上肢、体幹、下肢の部位別除脂肪量の関係を検討した。統計学的仮説検証における有意水準は5%に設定された。【結果】除脂肪量と脂肪量には有意な性差が部位別に認められ、部位別には上肢と体幹の除脂肪量の関係が男女ともに一番強かった。【考察】上肢と体幹の除脂肪量の関係が強い相関を示したことは、両者の機能的な連動性が深く関与している可能性を示唆しており、この点についてはさらなる詳細な検討を要する新たな研究課題である。本研究で用いたBIA法は多周波数帯を用いることで、部位別の体組成が測定可能であり、その信頼性が先行研究で報告されている。今回の研究結果は、大学生の体組成特性を理解し、彼らの健康増進に向けた個別のアプローチを検討する上での基礎データを提供するものと考える。</p>

  • 学外活動および宿泊を伴う集中型の大学体育授業における学生の主観的恩恵

    <p>【背景】大学体育授業は、大学の授業期間中に学内で行われる活動に加えて、長期休業期間中などに学外にて宿泊形式で行う集中型の活動（以下、学外集中授業）もある。西田ほか（2015）は、大学体育授業における学生の主観的恩恵を明らかにした。しかし、学外集中授業には着目されていないため、学外集中授業において学生がどのような恩恵を感じているかは明らかではない。本研究では、西田ほか（2015）の調査項目を参考に、学外集中授業における学生の主観的恩恵を明らかにすることを目的とした。【方法】分析対象者は、関西圏のA大学にて学外集中授業に参加した大学生137名（男性：67名、女性：70名；マリンスポーツ：90名、サイクリング：28名、ウィンタースポーツ：19名）であった。学外集中授業を通して学生自身が学んだこと（得られたこと、身に付けたこと、または気づいたこと）について、自由記述にて回答を求めた。得られた回答は、KH Coderを用いて計量テキスト分析を行った。【結果および考察】計量テキスト分析にて得られたネットワーク図とテキストデータをもとに、抽出された語を「スポーツの楽しさの理解」、「種目に関わる技術の習得」、「チームで協力する大切さ」、「集団での行動・生活の規範」、「体力の必要性」、「健康のための運動の重要性」、「初対面の人との関係づくり」、「達成感」、「コミュニケーションを通じた協調」、「自然の危険」に分類、解釈した。これらの中には、学外集中授業特有の主観的恩恵がみられた。例えば、「集団での行動・生活の規範」、「初対面の人との関係づくり」、「達成感」、「自然の危険」が挙げられる。これらの結果は、学外集中授業の計画立案や効果検証のための有用な基礎資料となり得る。</p>

  • 女子大学生の健康管理を目的としたBIA法によるFFMI（Fat Free Mass Index）とFMI（Fat Mass Index）の検討

    <p>体格を表す指標としてBMI (Body Mass Index)が広く用いられている。BMIは体格を簡便に評価できるが、筋肉量と脂肪量の区別について、考慮されていないことは周知のとおりである。近年、国内における20代女性の1日のエネルギー摂取量は1995年と比較すると減少傾向が見られ、BMI18.5以下の人口は幅広い年代で増加傾向にある。一見、この傾向は肥満症の問題と対極に思われるが、健康障害を招く恐れが指摘されている。本研究はBIA法によってFFMI（Fat Free Mass Index）およびFMI（Fat Mass Index）を測定し、大学生の健康管理に寄与する基礎資料作成を目的とした。対象は大阪府に住む女子大学生723名（18.5±0.8歳、158.9±5.2cm）であった。測定は2022年4月〜10月および2023年4月〜10月に実施された。測定はInBody470が用いられた。得られたFFMIは14.5±1.1、FMIは5.6±1.7であった。その他、関連する測定値は体重が50.7±6.7kg、脂肪量が14.2±4.2kg、体脂肪率が27.6±5.2％、BMIが20.1±2.4であった。女子大学生のFFMIおよびFMIは、1,019名（18〜34歳、BMI：23.1±2.4）を対象としたSuhutz.et.al.(2002)の研究に照らし合わせると25および50パーセンタイル順位に相当し、平均値は、いずれも5％水準で有意差に低かった。本研究から女子大学生のFFMIおよびFMIは低いことが推察され、特にFFMIの改善を目的とした健康管理を検討する必要があると思われる。</p>

Outline of education staff

  • 健康・スポーツ科学科目として、「健康・スポーツ科学概論」、「健康・スポーツ科学実習」を担当し、受講生の将来にわたる心身の健康や健康習慣について、解説をしている。また、「する、みる、ささえる」スポーツとして、日本におけるスポーツを取り巻く環境、社会、文化についても解説している。さらに実習授業では、生涯に渡る運動習慣となるよう、身体活動やスポーツの楽しさ、意義について、体験的に理解してもらえるよう、努めている。
    教養科目「子どもの生活と健康教育」では、現代の子どもを取り巻く生活環境、状況について、これまで調査・測定で得た知見を基に、解説をしている。

    近年、生活環境の変化から、子どもたちの直接体験が減っています。なかでも自然に触れる体験の乏しさが指摘されています。私がこれまでの子ども（幼児含む）キャンプの実践から学んだ自然体験活動の意義についてお話ししたいと思います。
