    <p>Recently, deep learning for image generation with a guide for the generation has been progressing. Many methods have been proposed to generate the animation of facial expression change from a single face image by transferring some facial expression information to the face image. In particular, the method of using facial landmarks as facial expression information can generate a variety of facial expressions. However, most methods do not focus on anime characters but humans. Moreover, we attempted to apply several existing methods to anime characters by training the methods on an anime character face dataset; however, they generated images with noise, even in regions where there was no change. The first order motion model (FOMM) is an image generation method that takes two images as input and transfers one facial expression or pose to the other. By explicitly calculating the difference between the two images based on optical flow, FOMM can generate images with low noise in the unchanged regions. In the following, we focus on the aspect of the face image generation in FOMM. When we think about the employment of facial landmarks as targets, the performance of FOMM is not enough because FOMM cannot use a facial landmark as a facial expression target because the appearances of a face image and a facial landmark are quite different. Therefore, we propose an advanced FOMM method to use facial landmarks as a facial expression target. In the proposed method, we change the input data and data flow to use facial landmarks. Additionally, to generate face images with expressions that follow the target landmarks more closely, we introduce the landmark estimation loss, which is computed by comparing the landmark detected from the generated image with the target landmark. Our experiments on an anime character face image dataset demonstrated that our method is effective for landmark-guided face image generation for anime characters. Furthermore, our method outperformed other methods quantitatively and generated face images with less noise.</p>

    Reading analysis can relay information about user's confidence and habits and can be used to construct useful feedback. A lack of labeled data inhibits the effective application of fully-supervised Deep Learning (DL) for automatic reading analysis. We propose a Self-supervised Learning (SSL) method for reading analysis. Previously, SSL has been effective in physical human activity recognition (HAR) tasks, but it has not been applied to cognitive HAR tasks like reading. We first evaluate the proposed method on a four-class classification task on reading detection using electrooculography datasets, followed by an evaluation of a two-class classification task of confidence estimation on multiple-choice questions using eye-tracking datasets. Fully-supervised DL and support vector machines (SVMs) are used as comparisons for the proposed SSL method. The results show that the proposed SSL method is superior to the fully-supervised DL and SVM for both tasks, especially when training data is scarce. This result indicates the proposed method is the superior choice for reading analysis tasks. These results are important for informing the design of automatic reading analysis platforms.

    It is important for teachers to grasp students’ engagement in order to improve the quality of lectures. When they find that their students are not engaged in the lecture, they can give advice to the students to pay attention to the lecture. However, in the e-learning environment, there is no teacher to grasp the student’s engagement. So if the student loses his engagement, no one can help him to regain it. It may cause ineffective learning. The purpose of this study is to grasp the student’s engagement by using a pressure mat and web camera. We recorded the students’ postural data, that is upper body pressure distribution and upper body pose information, while they were taking e-learning lectures. In order to get the body to pose information from a web camera, we used a human pose estimation library called OpenPose. Then we extracted 38 features from upper body pressure distribution and 33 features from upper body pose information for every minute. We selected effective features by using the Forward Stepwise Selection. Lastly, we estimate whether he or she was engaged in or not with a Support Vector Machine. As a result, the average accuracy was 79.3% for student-dependent estimation. This result shows it is possible to predictthe student’s engagement automatically.

    近年,多くの人がスマートフォンなどの小型端末を用いて,電子コミックを読んでいる.小型端末の画面 に電子コミックの 1 ページ全体を表示すると,小さな文字が読めない場合や,絵が見えにくい場合がある.本稿では, 事前に記録された電子コミックを読んでいる際の視点を用いて,電子コミックを拡大表示する手法を提案する.提案 手法により,小型端末の画面でも見やすい縮尺で電子コミックを表示することが可能となる.また,本稿では被験者 に提案手法を用いて電子コミックを読んでもらうことで,その使いやすさを調査する.その結果,提案手法により, 文字や絵が見やすい大きさでの表示が可能であることが分かった.また,今後の課題として,拡大率を自動で最適な 値にする機能が必要であることが分かった.

    電子透かしを用いて,印刷物に人間には認識できないように情報を埋め込み,それをスマートフォンで撮影して情報を取り出す手法について検討する.SCIS2013 に投稿した手法を基に手法の改良を行った.従来の電子透かし法では位置検出のためにマーカや,枠線をつける必要があった.本来,電子透かしの利点の一つは,見た目を損なわないという点にあるのだが,マーカや,枠線をつけることはその利点と相反している.本稿では,この問題点を解決するために,位置検出の手法を改善し,画像に何も付与せずに位置検出し,透かしから情報を取り出す手法を提案する.画像に何も付与せずに位置検 出を行うために,画像検索を用いて撮影画像内にのどの位置に透かし入り画像が存在するのかを検出し,位置検出を行う.画像検索は計算コストが高いため,位置検出はスマートフォン上でなくサーバ上で行っている.位置検出法を変更した結果,従来法と比べ処理時間について従来法が0.34 秒だったのに対して0.9 秒を要するようになったものの,同等の抽出率を保持できた.

  • スマートフォンを用いた透かし入り動画から透かし領域を推定する電子透かし法の性能評価

    近年,スマートフォンやデジタルサイネージ上での広告などが普及している. 電子透かしを用いて動画に対し付加情報を埋め込んで透かし入り動画を作成し,スマートフォンで再撮影して情報を取り出せる既存の手法に,岩田らの手法がある. 岩田らは透かし入り動画にスマートフォンをかざすことによって関連情報にアクセスできるようにすることを目的としており, iPhone5sで透かし入り動画を撮影して透かしを抽出し,性能を評価している. 岩田らの手法では今後の課題の1つとして,スマートフォンでの撮影時の手振れの影響の軽減が挙げられていた. これに対し,iPhone6sPlusには光学手振れ補正機能が搭載されており,撮影時の手振れの影響の軽減が見込まれる. また,岩田らの性能評価ではノートPC上での映像を対象としていたため,より実用に近い,70インチのサイネージを実験に使用する. 以上より,本稿では,サイネージ上で再生した透かし入り動画をiPhone6sPlusで撮影して透かしを抽出し,性能を評価する.

  • Discussing of learning method for labeling manga characters

    In this paper, I propose a new method to train similarity for labeling characters' ID to manga character regions. In manga, manga characters are important elements. If they can be retrieved, it's possible to meet user's demand. Labeling to manga characters is difficult with simple pattern matching because the manga characters have the various directions of the faces and expressions. Conventional method's problem is labeling many manga characters. In addition, human have to choose many kinds of face data. In this paper, the proposed method employs pool-based active learning to solves these problems. Pool-based active learning has an advantage to solve the problem when obtaining samples with labels requires quite higher cost than the cost to obtain samples without labels. I used our method for labeling experiment and show its advantages.

    高速な文書画像検索手法の一つに,LLAH がある.LLAH は高速・高精度な文書画像検索を実現できる一 方,図表やグラフを多く含む文書を対象としたとき,精度が著しく低下するという欠点がある.一方,幅広い対象に 適用可能な画像検索手法として,SIFT などの局所特徴量を用いた手法があるが,低速であるという欠点がある.本 稿では,局所特徴量を用いた画像検索手法に,早期認識と早期棄却の二つの概念を導入することで,幅広い対象に適 用可能で,なおかつ高速・高精度な文書画像検索手法を提案する.早期認識は,計算コストの少ない処理を繰り返し, 検索に十分な証拠が得られた時点で処理を終了することで達成する.早期棄却は,少ない計算コストの処理から,検 索に有効ではない特徴抽出の範囲を決定し,それを破棄することで実現する.実験の結果,1 万ページのデータベー スに対して,精度94%,処理時間45.6[ms] で検索可能であることが分かった.

  • Digital watermarking for JPEG images using uniform color space

    The problems for practical applications of digital watermarking are reducing the degradation in image quality by embedding watermark and resistance to the JPEG compression. Iwata et al. proposed a digital watermarking method which realize reducing the degradation by using uniform color space. But this method didn't consider resistance to the JPEG compression. In this paper, we proposed a method which resist to the JPEG compression by embedding watermark into DCT coefficients and reduce the degradation by using uniform color space.

    学会におけるポスター発表は,研究者が自身の研究に対する意見やアイデアを得るための重要な場である.しかし,ポスター発表の性質上,そこで起こる議論は参加者と発表者との間での一対一のやり取りであることが多く,交わされた意見やアイデアが他の参加者と共有されないという問題がある.この問題を解決するため,本稿ではポスター発表のためのアノテーション共有システムを提案する.このシステムはLocally Likely Arrangement Hashingと呼ばれる文書画像検索法に基づいており,ユーザはポスターにスマートフォンをかざすことで,ポスターにアノテーションをつけたり,ポスターにつけられたアノテーションを拡張現実を用いて表示したりすることができる.本システムによって,ポスターを通した参加者同士の交流が可能となる.また,紙面による発表という形式を維持したまま,Webアプリケーションなどによる便利なサービスを提供することができる.

    動画に対して電子透かしを用い,人に知覚されないように付加情報を埋め込み,それをカメラで再撮影することで情報を取り出す手法について検討する.透かし入り動画にスマートフォンをかざすことで関連情報にアクセスできるようにすることが目的である.透かし入り動画を再撮影した動画には,透かし抽出の対象である透かし入り動画の領域以外に背景領域も含まれる.そこで,電子透かし法を,再撮影動画内の透かし入り動画の領域を推定する処理と透かしの埋め込み・抽出を行う処理に分けて考える.まず,透かしの埋め込み・抽出にはフレーム間の差分を利用する手法を用いる.提案手法は携帯端末上でのリアルタイム処理を目指しているため,小さい計算コストが望まれる.そこで,周波数変換などと比べ計算コストが小さい単純な和算,減算のみを用いて計算できるフレーム間差分を利用する方法を用いた.次に,透かし入り動画の領域推定には,透かしとは別に位置ずれ同期用の情報を埋め込むことも考えられるが,画質劣化の原因になるため好ましくない.そこで本稿では,透かし自体の痕跡を利用して透かしを抽出する方法を新たに提案する.実験では,スマートフォンにより撮影した,手ぶれを含む再撮影動画から透かしを抽出し,提案手法の性能を評価する.

    文書画像検索の手法の1つとして,LLAHというものがある.LLAHを用いると,文書を撮影した画像から写っている文書を高速で検索できる.しかし,LLAHでは撮影した画像に図や表などが多く含まれる場合,検索が失敗するといった問題がある.主な原因は,LLAHは質問画像が文章であるといった前提があるからである.検索時に利用する特徴点は単語の重心を用いているため,文書でない図や表の部分からは特徴点が出ない.この問題を解決する方法として,画像検索をすることが挙げられる.画像検索を用いることによって,文書だけでなく図や表を人力として検索できる.しかし,LLAHと比べ処理時間がかかるといった問題もある.本稿では,検索対象に対して効率の良い検索方法を適用することで,高精度かつ高速な検索を可能にする手法を提案する.そしてLLAHと画像検索のそれぞれを比較し,性能の向上を示す.

    Information Hiding and its Criteria for evaluation (IHC) works for encouraging and for practical use of watermark technologies. In an effort to increase the activity in this particular research field IHC set up the evaluation standard for watermark technologies for image and video version 1. According to the standard IHC conducted its first competition. There were eight applicants and seven of them cleared the standard and received the certification. The award for the best image quality and the award for the highest tolerance were also granted from IHC In this paper the results of the competition, mainly about the best quality and the highest tolerance, are reported. IHC is discussing the standard version 2 that will require higher level requirements for watermark technologies. IHC also has plans to conduct the competitions every year until its purpose is achieved.

    電子透かしを用いて,印刷物に人間には認識できないように情報を埋め込み、それをスマートフォンで撮影して情報を取り出す手法について検討する.透かし入りの印刷物にユーザーがスマートフォンをかざすことで情報を得られることを目指している.これを実現するには,スマートフォンをかざしている間,撮影と,情報の抽出処理を並行して行う必要がある.そのため,従来の電子透かしでは重視されていなかった抽出処理の高速性が求められる.ほかの要件としては,撮影映像の解像度が高いと抽出処理に時間がかかるため,解像度が低い撮影映像から情報を抽出できなければならない.また,印刷の際には色合いの変化が生じたり,撮影の際には手ブレや位置ずれなどが生じたりするため,これらの外乱に耐性を持たせなければならない.

    本稿では, スマートフォンを利用したサービスへ電子透かしを応用することを考える. 例え ば, 透かし入り動画像に対してスマートフォンをかざすことによって, 透かしを抽出して情報を得るサー ビスが考えられる. スマートフォンで透かし入り動画像を撮影すると, 撮影した動画像が傾いていたり, 透かし入り動画像以外の部分を含んで録画される. また, 撮影した動画像はフレームレートが異なり, 色 合いが変化していることが想定される. 本研究では撮影した動画像から透かし入り動画像の部分を検出 し, 補正したものから透かしを抽出することを考える. また, 動画像の途中から撮影した場合でも情報を 得られることが必要である. 動画像の途中からでも透かしを取り出せる手法として, 2007 年に山本らが時 間同期外しに耐性をもつ電子透かし法を提案している. 山本らは動画像をブロック分割して3 次元DFT を施し, 一つの周波数平面のみを用いて全てのブロックに同じ3 ビットの情報を埋め込んでいた. 提案手 法では, 複数の周波数平面を用い, 全てのブロックに個別の情報を埋め込んでも情報を抽出できるように 変更する. 山本らは一つのフレームセットから全てのビットを抽出していたが, ブロックごとに埋め込む ビット0, 1 に対応する系列との相関値の差の大きさが最大になる所を動画像全体を用いて探索するよう に抽出法を改良した. この抽出法を用い, 実際にスマートフォンで撮影した透かし入り動画像を補正した 動画像に対して抽出実験を行い, その有用性を示す.

    Recently, automatic surveillance systems have become active area of research. There are two typical methods of research for automatic surveillance systems. They are the methods of giving model data of abnormal patterns and the methods of detecting rare patterns. The former methods can detect the patterns of given model data, but cannot define all abnormal patterns. The latter methods are not able to detect all abnormal patterns. In this paper, we propose a novel method of having the advantage of these methods. First, we extract behavioral patterns from images of a surveillance camera. Second, we classify the behavioral patterns and "normal" or "abnormal" information is given to each class. Finally, we recognize observed behavioral patterns based on the information.

    Recently, several user authentication methods using keystroke characteristics for free-style text have been presented. In this paper, we propose a new user authentication method using the measures based on keystroke characteristics. Firstly, we set the parameters of each measure for each user by using templates of the user and others collected in advance. Secondly, we set the weight coefficients of a neural network for each user using the templates. Finally, we calculate the similarities between the user and his/her template, and authenticate the user by inputting the similarities to the neural network. We have performed experiments by this method and have achieved 0.17% of false acceptance rate and 2.38% of false rejection rate.

    The objective of this work is to devise a new way to embed a watermark into digital audio signal. In the conventional methods, it needs to embed the watermark without noise perception caused by embedding. However, it is difficult to embed the watermark without noise perception. Hence, we propose an embedding method so as to permit a perception of an embedded watermark signal. The high sound quality is required for a watermark signal even if noises are perceived. Therefore, we estimate the instrument for each note and embed a watermark by using the corresponding sampled sound for each note. Moreover, we improve the sound quality of watermarked audio signal in consideration of music theory of chords.

    In this paper, we aim to embed watermark information without perception of deterioration of sound quality based on watermarking method in consideration of human auditory property. Therefore, we use pitch estimation which is used in automatic music transcription. Automatic music transcription is a technique to convert music played with musical instruments to the score automatically. We embed watermark information in consonances of original audio signal. Generally, consonances are unison, octave, perfect fifth and perfect fourth. In this paper, we embed watermark information in perfect fifth or perfect fourth. Moreover, we use spectrogram analysis for pitch estimation. We aim to reduce deterioration of sound quality of watermarked audio signal by embedding watermark information in consonances of estimated pitch in spectrogram analysis.

    The audio watermarking method, "the audio watermarking method based on amplitude modification," has been proposed by W. N. Lie as a prevention technique against copyright infringement. We have increased the capacity of watermark information by embedding multiple watermarks. However, the multiple embedding causes the deterioration of sound quality. And hence, we propose the sound quality improvement method focused on the DC component which is not perceived by human ears. From experimental results, we confirmed that the subjective sound quality was improved as the robustness was maintained.

    Due to increasing number of attacks over the network, it becomes essential for network administrators to properly to keep the network secure. The administrators have to monitor and analyze traffics through the network to comprehend the condition of the network. To alleviate load of the administrators, a study of efficiently visualizing traffics is being done. In this paper, we propose a method to visualize relation of the nodes and change of traffic states by observing transition of nodes distribution which is made after sorting out the nodes according to destinations and number of packets. This method enables the administrators to comprehend the network condition by visualizing whole image of traffics and change of traffic states in the nodes.
