    This report investigates partial amplitude death in delay-coupled oscillator networks with complete bipartite graphs. Previous studies have observed partial amplitude death in which only one oscillator in a network is quenched. This report attempts to quench multiple oscillators for partial amplitude death. Linear stability analysis reveals that, in complete bipartite graphs, oscillators in a smaller set can be quenched. Numerical simulations verify our analytical results.

    We numerically and experimentally demonstrate that amplitude suppression can be observed in oscillators coupled by delayed connection with slowly varying topologies. Although our previous study [Iwamoto et al., Phys. Rev. E, 2020] dealt with amplitude suppression in the four oscillators, the present paper extends the number of oscillators, from 4 to 4n (n=1,2,...), and provides a procedure for designing the coupling parameters and the network topologies such that amplitude suppression occurs. The design procedure is verified numerically with up to 800 Stuart-Landau oscillators and experimentally with 8 double-scroll circuits.

    <p>Amplitude death has been intensively investigated in the field of nonlinear science for almost 40 years. In the present article, we review the use of analytical tools for robust stability/control, which have been provided in the field of system control, to obtain the conditions under which amplitude death occurs when the number of oscillators and the network topologies are unknown. Specifically, we explain our results for two representative couplings for inducing amplitude death, dynamical coupling and delayed coupling.</p>

    This study proposes a Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) reduction method using an adaptive Finite Impulse Response (FIR) filter in Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing systems. At the transmitter, an iterative algorithm that minimizes the <I>p</I>-norm of a transmitted signal vector is used to update the weight coefficients of the FIR filter to reduce PAPR. At the receiver, the FIR filter used at the transmitter is estimated using pilot symbols, and its effect can be compensated for by using an equalizer for proper demodulation. Simulation results show that the proposed method is superior to conventional methods in terms of the PAPR reduction and computational complexity. It also shows that the proposed method has a trade-off between PAPR reduction and bit error rate performance.</p>

    <p>In this paper, we propose a semi-blind channel estimation method for faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) signaling. The proposed method combines the least-squares (LS) method using training symbols with a blind estimation method using knowledge of the pulse shape. It is shown that the proposed semi-blind method requires fewer training symbols than the LS method, and it is superior to the blind method regardless of the packing ratio of FTN signaling.</p>
